Airsoft Mobile Ops Events

To join in at one of our airsoft events, you need only register and kit yourself out with some basic gear.

The required  gear is:

  • Airsoft Gun/s (Gun rentals are available please reserve a gun in advance, when you make your booking).
  • Safety Gear, tough clothing and footwear.
  • Integrity and Sportsmanship and Honour.

Airsoft Gun/s

You may use any type and any amount of airsoft weapon as long as it does not exceed the following velocity limits:

  • Outdoor: 400 fps (ft/sec) or less with .20g ammunition.
  • Indoor: 320 fps (ft/sec) or less with .20g ammunition.

These limits are becoming common at most games and they are used to ensure safety. Airsoft Guns are checked before the game begins.

Safety Gear, tough clothing & footwear

Safety-approved  goggles are required and full face cover is recommended for all the A.M.O. events.

A.M.O. insist on safety approved eye cover and recommend full face protection when playing at our events. Sorry! but as written into the booking requirements, anyone not wearing safety-approved goggles will not be able to join in the event, and players removing protective eye gear during an A.M.O. skirmish without requesting a cease fire from an A.M.O. marshall first will be disqualfied from the game. We cannot accept responsability for any injury sustained from ignoring these specifications. We thank you in advance for you co-operation with this important stipulation.

Eyes:

Safety approved goggles only, these include paintball approved goggles.

Sun glasses and many other safety glasses, tactical glasses, military dust goggles, ski goggles etc. do not withstand the impact of high velocity bb’s and therefore do not meet the safety requirements. A good Airsoft equipment supplier should be able to help you with this.

Ears, nose, mouth/teeth:

We also advise that you look into full face protection, such as masks; both the hard cover and neoprene masks and make use of cloths/scarves i.e shemaghs, scrim and hats to cover and protect your ears, nose and mouth/teeth.

For clothing, total body coverage is recommended, light weight for mid game and a warmer jacket on standby. Camo clothing and headgear will seriously improve your chances of success in many of our role play scenarios. Check the terrain and season for the airsoft event you are interested in to find out how best to 'blend in'. In general desert  to woodland camo colours suit most of the Mediterranean seasons. We have limited camo clothing available for hire in advance, we recommend that if possible you bring your own.

We advise that you wear walking or combat style boots with ankle support as the most suitable footwear for rugged terrain. For obvious safety reasons, closed toe footwear at least is a requirement and as written in the booking requirements if you will not wear closed toe footwear you will not  qualify to join in the event! We don't supply footwear.

Check out the base camp store for equipment for sale supplied by our neighbouring Airsoft suppliers and Club 'Full Metal'.

Integrity and Sportsmanship

Unity and team work are essential at our events. Friendly and respectful behavior amongst all fellow players helps to create the best atmosphere in which to ‘play’ and have a good time. For a fair advantage and to keep the game enjoyable for everyone - play with other players that are at or above your skill level.

There will be plenty of events to hone your team work, tactical skills and aim.

Honour

As the bb’s leave no mark, players call themselves out!

General Rules of the Game

  • Ricochets do not count as a hit
  • Friendly fire (shot by team mate) counts as a hit
  • Hits to 'primary' weapon do not count
  • If you are hit, shout “HIT” raise your hands and lie down on the spot and place your weapon on the ground next to you and call for a medic. If no medic arrives to your aid remain on the ground for 3 minutes or until the marshal times you back into the game, then get to cover, and continue to play.
  • No communication with team (except medics) after you are hit.
If you have managed to get the jump on someone and are within 5 metres of them, to reduce the chance of injury you may call “Bang” instead of firing. Caller’s gun must still be fully operational.
  • No pyrotechnics to be used in the safezone.
  • Pyro must not be thrown at a live target.
  • No pryo to be used by under 18's.
  • Do not take you face mask or goggles off during game play. If your goggles fall off for any reason or are damaged, place your hands over your eyes and call CEASE FIRE. The game will be stopped and a Marshal will come to your aid.
  • If a marshal calls CEASE FIRE , the game must stop until the Marshal restarts the game.
  • Generally two whistle blows mean stop and one means go.
  • The marshal’s word is final.
